Baldwin Park’s annual Santa Claus clothing project another joyous hit at local Wal-Mart – San Gabriel Valley Tribune

The Baldwin Park Unified School District, in conjunction with the City of Baldwin Park, hosted the annual Santa Claus Clothing Project on Tuesday morning, December 7.

A total of 416 K-12 students were escorted into the Wal-Mart on Big Dalton Ave in Baldwin Park by volunteer shoppers with an $ 80 prepaid shopping card to purchase clothes for the winter.

It was the 24th year of the event.

The students were selected based on the financial needs of the family.

Volunteer buyers were matched with students and received information that included student name, grade, clothing size, and shoe size to help them put together a wardrobe.
