Creeping Death Trailer Stolen And Recovered, Sheriff Buys Shirt

Buckle up the children, because terrifying death has a pretty crazy story about their trailer being stolen and returned. The band played their first gig of their tour with Carcass and Immolation on May 14 at Launchpad in Albuquerque, NM. Unfortunately, their trailer was stolen from the hotel parking lot and the cops were unwilling to retrieve it despite having tags showing the location of the trailer.

Drummer Lincoln Mullins Explain : “terrifying deathThe trailer was stolen from a hotel parking lot this morning. Yes he was locked in the van, yes we have AirTags,” he said in a Twitter thread. “He showed ABQ police the exact location of 3 AirTags and they said that ‘it was not enough to enter the building and see…because the business was closed

“They won’t even come to the hotel to see the surveillance footage of our shit being taken. Have a nice day 2 of touring.”

Mullins then gives an update saying that the cops finally came to see the footage of the theft four hours after the report, although he mentions “no plates visible on the car”.

Then about 12 hours later, Mullins returns with the following update stating that the trailer was recovered by the Albuquerque sheriff’s department.. and a sheriff purchased a shirt.

“THANKS TO AIRTAGS AND A VERY KIND ABQ SHERIFF (AMAZING), EVERYTHING WAS FOUND EXCEPT MY BORROWED BIG DRUM CASE (NOW BRAD) AND OUR UHAUL TRAILER. THE KIND SHERIFF BUY US A LONG SLEEVE WHEN WE LEFT THE CRIME SCENE”

So hooray, for the most part! Although it seems a bit crazy that terrifying death called the cops saying “hey our shit was stolen and we know where it is” and the cops said “no” despite there being concrete evidence of the theft and where the stolen property was after the theft .
