Davido buys Zlatan Ibile t-shirt for £ 5,000

Nigerian music star David Adeleke aka Davido bought a t-shirt from his colleague Zlatan Ibile for five thousand pounds (N 2,716,590.17).

Buying the shirt, Davido said, “I don’t know how much this shirt costs, but we don’t buy anything for the same price. I’m the first one to do it, I’m buying this shirt for five thousand pounds.

As part of his birthday celebration last month, the singer decided to give back to society by donating 250 million Naira to orphanages across Nigeria.

It also set up a committee of five people to monitor the progress of the fund’s disbursement.

Last Saturday, he revealed that his N250m orphanage fund had received more than 1,234 applications.

The singer took advantage of his Instagram stories to take stock of the N250m fund’s selection and disbursement processes.

The bid, which was only open to registered orphanages in Nigeria, lasted three days.

He wrote: “The audit is ongoing and the report will be released by December 15th. The selection and disbursement on 18/19 and the press release should be before December 20.

“1,234 responded; 852 without orphanage names; 382 with names of orphanage.

“The Nigerian National Orphanage Association sent the list of orphanages under its coverage, which to some extent helps us in the verification process. God protects you. We go up in the elevator.
