LISTEN: Chief State’s New Classic Out For Me – News

Pure pop-punk brilliance.

Head of state are gearing up to release their first feature film “Waiting For Your Colors” and shared a new sneak peek.

And that’s as essential as it gets.

It’s called “Out For Me” and it’s everything you’d expect from a bright, airy pop-punk opus. Reflective, punishing and perfectly stained by the summer sun, the band doles it out thick and fast and will instantly have your heart pinned on your sleeve.

It’s here:

“Waiting For Your Colours” will be released on July 1 via Mutant League Records.

Singer Fraser Simpson had this to say about the record:

“There is definitely a coming of age theme on the new album. We ask ourselves: what am I looking to get out of life, of being in a band? I want to carry on and where do I want to place myself? my energy to move forward? We realized that we all need to stress less about the things we can’t control and enjoy more of what we have, of what we can control and of the journey itself.

The artwork looks like this:
