Middlesbrough unveil new home shirt after Errea reunion with help from Fabrizio Ravanelli

Fabrizio Ravanelli modeled Middlesbrough’s new home kit as the club unveiled the highly anticipated kit for the new season. The signature red jersey with white stripe was worn by the Italian for the unveiling to celebrate the reunion with sports manufacturer Errea.

Boro has a great history with Errea having worn kits made by the Italian manufacturer throughout their golden years of the 1990s and 2000s. The two shared an incredible partnership which spanned 14 years and resulted in Boro kits iconic.

The latter also has a retro look, with a buttoned white round collar. The popular white stripe on the front of the shirt remains and features the Unibet shirt sponsor logo in large black print. The sleeve also has a round white border which then goes up the underarm and slightly up the side of the shirt.

Due to the game logo being banned on junior replica kits, Unibet will be replaced with another Boro partner on junior kits in the form of Host & Stay. Their logo will also feature on the upper back of adult replica shirts.

Due to the reunion with Errea, Boro recruited the help of two of their popular former Italian players, with Ravanelli revealing the home kit duties. Massimo Maccarone will be the role model for the away kit release which is expected in the coming weeks.

The new Boro home shirt is available to pre-order now online or in person at the club shop ahead of its official release on Friday July 8. Junior shirts (5/6yrs – 13yrs) are priced at £42, while adult kits (size S – 4XL) are £50. Baby “mini kits” are not available for pre-order.
