NYPD collars one of illegal street jumpers who allegedly beat driver
Cops caught up to one of the bikers who allegedly chased a motorist and beat him and his son in an “accident” in Harlem, police said Thursday.
Kureem Nelson, 35, has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of robbery and assault in connection with the March 15 road rage attack, police said.
The shocking incident, which was caught on video, began around 4.30pm that day as the 64-year-old driver was heading west on West 127th Street and hit one of the men driving an illegal street vehicle , who allegedly drove a red light on Frederick Douglass Boulevard, cops said.
The crew tracked the 64-year-old, following him for two blocks before cutting him off at St. Nicholas Terrace, cops said.
Four of the assailants got out of their illegal drives and surrounded the car, pulling the driver and his 36-year-old son from inside, cops said.
The crew then beat them and stole their cellphones, credit cards and money, police said.
The two victims were not seriously injured but shaken, the son later told the Post.
“I’m fine, I’m just very worried about him, worried about my dad,” he previously said. “I want them found, and justice done.”
