River Festival returns to Collar City on July 17 – troyrecord

TROY, NY – The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District welcomes everyone to downtown Troy’s historic River Street for the River Festival on July 17 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. River Festival is a free, carefully curated celebration of art, music, crafts and culture that is fun for all ages.

The streets will be filled with vendor stalls for shopping, family entertainment, food, drink and live music in addition to the diverse offerings of shops, bars and restaurants along the pedestrian area. In total, nearly 100 merchants and local businesses are taking part. River Festival is the fun and free way to spend a great day exploring Troy with your friends and family. As the Hudson River is such an important part of Troy’s history, River Festival is designed to mimic the flow of the river by encouraging visitors to wander the streets of downtown Troy. Attendees will be able to sample products, watch unique demonstrations, learn about local nonprofits, and purchase all types of handmade items from talented artisans, makers, and artisans. Take a break to refuel with a cup of coffee or a snack and enjoy fresh baked goods, tacos and quesadillas, burgers, frozen treats, and more. Live music will play on the RadioRadioX and Mirth Films Stage at the corner of State and River Street from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., while No Fun will rock the block across the street. Youngsters will enjoy everything from face painting, balloon animals, story time and chalk art in the kids’ corner on Second Street.
