Royal family: The very ordinary shop where Kate Middleton buys clothes for George, Charlotte and Louis

It’s not often that we feel like we have a lot in common with the Royal Family, but that only makes it all the more exciting when we do. It was revealed a few years ago that before her royal fame, Kate had a job at a high street clothing store where many of us shopped.

The Duchess had a part-time role at Jigsaw, after graduating from the University of St Andrews in 2005. She apparently asked for it to be a part-time role as she saw a ‘top man’ at the time. Yes, you can guess who it was.

But it’s not the only department store that many of us have in common with the royal family. It turns out that although many of the clothes purchased for the couples’ children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, come from expensive high-end stores, one of the royal favorites is much more normal.

Kate gifts her children with clothes from a ton of stores, including John Lewis and Boden

Turns out Kate loves shopping at John Lewis for her kids. The Duchess of Cambridge was even spotted shopping at a John Lewis store in Chelsea in 2015, looking like a classic mum in a coat, scarf and boots.

But that’s not the only time Kate has stepped out on the high street for the kids. Just before Prince George’s eighth birthday, Marie Claire reports, Kate and William’s official Instagram account posted an adorable photo of their son.

Pictured, he wore a classic John Lewis polo shirt (which can be had for just £10 – a bargain!) along with blue shorts from another high street store – Boden. But their go-to brand, according to reports, is a bit more traditional. British brand Rachel Riley is the family’s favorite brand.
