When was the last time you saw a celebrity in Washington State?
Imagine eating a burger or grabbing an ice cream cone and locking eyes with a celebrity! This just happened in East Wenatchee!
Who was the celebrity?
According to Richard E, this is what happened
In my 41 years, I have seen many interesting things. However, I think what I saw yesterday might be at the top of the list.
As I sat down at my table at Bobs Burgers in East Wenatchee, I noticed a group of people sitting across from me. There was an older, but handsome man sitting right in the middle. I thought “where do I know him from?”. I looked at him again and the man smiled at me knowing I knew he looked familiar. It took me about 5 minutes before it appeared to me. So I took out my phone and did a Google search. When I saw the results, I almost fell off my chair.
Why Christopher Walken was in East Wenatchee is beyond me. As I left, I briefly chatted with him and the small group he was with. I didn’t ask his name, but he knew I knew who he was.
So I guess you can say I met and talked to a celebrity.
I asked Richard what his favorite Christopher movie role was and he said, “Hmm, that’s hard. Maybe A View To A Kill? A James Bond movie.”
Ahhh, that’s cool! If you don’t know this actor, here are some more of his roles
What movies has Christopher Walken been in?
- Catch Me If You Can – He Plays Daddy
- Balls of Fury – Chief Bad Guy
- Wedding Crashers – Politician and Father
- The Stepford Wives – Creator of Stepford
- Sleepy Hollow – The Headless Horseman
The list goes on and on for movie roles, and honorable mention has to go to the SNL skit with Will Ferril where Christopher Walken keeps telling the band, “I think he needs more ring!”
I can only imagine what it was like to meet the sparkling gaze of this incredible actor…let alone have a little chat with him and his party! What a cool moment!
